I've only been to one, and it was many years ago. I went with my brother, grandma, and cousins (who are 40+ years older than us, by the way). We were in a long, cramped car ride to some park somewhere. Once we arrived, the adults had no problem talking amongst one another but the kids? My brother remarked that they weren't very social, as they didn't want to talk to us. Their parents and other relatives probably forced them to come too. It was so boring, and the only thing interesting about that gathering is that the park it was hosted at had a fun playground. Oh yeah, and one of my cousins, who was driving, had to get directions and almost drove into the wrong family gathering.
So, why did I bring up this somewhat specific topic for a forum post? Well, you see... I'm going to have to go to another one next Saturday... I may be much older than I was when I last attended one, but my instincts tell me it's still going to suck. Save me!
